We visited because we thought the beach looked nice in the pictures here on Google (the sand looked nice!), sadly this September the beach was full of mud and the water isn’t nice to swim in. The sunbeds + one umbrella was €15 which would be a better price if the beach wasn’t full of mud. There were also a lot of mosquitoes in the mud, which showed up at daytime too. It was okay for a day but won’t visit again, especially not if you want to swim in the lake.
The beach isn’t a 5* resort on a seaside but fair enough for the lake for those want not drive 3 hours to the nearest sea near Pisa.
The beach itself is free to access and swim, bar with food/drink is fair. 2 sun bed with umbrella is 15 Eur for a day. Small part of the beach is sand covered. The lake is like a live water - not crystal clear but is good. For those would like to enjoy a cleaner and chemically treated water the small pool is available for an additional 2,5 Eur/person.
Fair choice on a cost benefit basis.
It was very warm (+35C)during the day I was visiting the beach. The lake water was really warm and there were loads of algae on the water. The water itself was also rather blurry (thick), did not feel like swimming in the water at all.
I hope this is not the regular cade
Wonderful beach and pool, lake swimming is free but oay for beds and umbrella, pool is chargeable. Fantastic lunches available at the cafe, very reasonable.
No sand, just grass and smelly algae-mud.
most ppl dont know this is where hannibal absolutely destroyed the romans
Dirty and smelly water, sand was muddy and dirty as well. Maybe it was the weather but this is not suitable to bathe at all
Way too many Ants, not enough sand. Water is muddy and rocking. Wouldn’t recommend.
